Branding for a New South Florida Home Pet Care Service.
A few years ago, our client decided to leave the corporate rat race and combine his love of dogs with a needed service in his neighborhood—thus Playful Paws Miami was born. Americans are in love with their pets, owning more than 162 million dogs and cats in 2015, and spending over $5 billion dollars (and rising) each year on pet services. Capitalizing on this trend, dozens of personalized pet care business have spring up around town. The owner asked us to design a professional logo and brand that would help distinguish his business from others in the area. We wanted to avoid the most obvious symbols and imagery—which are used over and over again in the pet business market—and create a compelling visual that immediately conveys the general nature of the business. The resulting mark features a silhouette of the owners' own dog; reflects both the friendly and professional nature of the business; and stands out amongst all of the other local competitors.
