Designing for Miami's Public Magnet School Program.

 

Miami's magnet school program offers unique courses of study focusing on students' special interests, talents and abilities. For more than 40 years Miami-Dade County public schools have been at the forefront of the choice movement in education, and when it came time to introduce six new schools of choice the County turned to us to design its new promotional campaign and collateral materials. Our client had some wonderful portrait shots of actual students in the magnet program, and we made the decision early on to use these images front and center in the campaign. These students literally became the 'faces' of the campaign and emphasized, that in the end, a magnet education is all about the experiences of each individual student. We adapted the concept for a variety of different pieces including a promotional brochure, marketing folders and materials, business cards, print ads, flyers and website banners.
